Micaela’s Creations will provide educational and support services that will offer empowerment and creative solution strategies for children and their parents.

Micaela’s Creations, Inc. will offer parent workshops, etiquette classes, and extracurricular activities for children and their parents. Micaela’s Creations belief is that in order for positive change to occur within family system, both parents and children must be empowered, educated, and nurtured to support positive change within the family system.

Nurturing and offering services to children by themselves is great; however in most scenarios change is only temporary because the dynamics do not change within the family system. Most of the time, it is the parents who need the most help. This program will be a huge benefit for parents as it will aid in preventing child abuse and neglect, negative peer pressure, drug involvement, and many more family issues. With the programs that Micaela’s Creations will offer, parents and children will not only work individually to accomplish their goals, but will participate in the programs as a family unit to achieve lifelong dreams and accomplishments.

Workshops will be offered to build strong family values that will aim at strengthening families within the community. They will be given regularly to educate and empower children and parents on the day to day dynamics that may be occurring within their family system. All Students will learn how to excel in the world by learning how to eat, speak, and act the proper way. The will learn how to balance checkbooks and prepare for interviews. Parents will gain parental guidance and attend workshops to gain better insight on areas that may be causing concern in their households. They will also learn how to budget and will receive educational assistance to allow them a better future.

Workshops will be given regularly and in a supportive learning environment that is designed to create positive change in families before it is too late. At the end of each workshop parents will be given a list of community referrals that will help parents to locate additional resources that may assist them. Monthly newsletters will include great parenting tips, referral information, and parents will be offered a free tote filled with goodies. Presenters will teach the workshops and will provide their expert opinions on the subject matter.

A family workshop will be held yearly to include the entire family. There will also be a teen prevention workshop that will consist of a panel of teens that are educating their parents and the community on the day to day struggles. Refreshments and childcare will be provided for family members. It is our goal that each parent will leave with a renewed spirit and positive self image believing that they can achieve their goals. An activity center will give the children a structured environment to meet their daily needs.
